Children At Play Learning Center sits on East Magnolia Avenue in Knoxville, caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through the everyday work of childhood: playing, exploring, and figuring out the world with grown-ups who know them well.
We are a licensed Tennessee child care center, open weekdays for working families, with a wheelchair-accessible building and sibling discounts for households with more than one little one enrolled.

Toddlers
1 – 2 years
Walking, climbing, stacking, and naming the world. Toddlers get room to move and explore safely, with simple routines that build words, independence, and confidence.
Preschool & Pre-K
3 – 5 years
Letters, numbers, colors, and stories woven into play. Children practice sharing, listening, and big-kid skills, getting ready for kindergarten without losing the joy of being little.

A good day for a young child is busy and unhurried at the same time. We keep a steady routine so children know what comes next, and we leave plenty of room for the play where the real learning happens.
Teachers follow what each room is curious about, read stories out loud, sing, count, build, and head outside to move. The goal is simple: children who feel safe, known, and excited to come back tomorrow.
